Forensics Supervisor

Job Summary The Supervisor, Forensics offers clinical and administrative supervision of staff and direct client care within the assigned forensic department, provides oversight of day-to-day tasks, and provides direct client care. This licensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health. Duties & Responsibilities Supervision: Provide clinical and administrative supervision for staff. Facilitate program and staff development as assigned. Reviewing and signing off on staff documentation as needed. Complete ongoing performance appraisal of program staff. Develop, coordinate, and management of programming for JTP program. Provide clinical consultation to JTP Counselors. Oversee JTP reporting outcomes and data as needed. Facilitate program development as assigned. Direct Client Care: Provide trauma informed mental health and substance use services to patients and their family systems in the Lake County Jail, Municipal and Common Pleas Courts, Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ office locations, other community locations as needed, and in conjunction with some telehealth options. Service lines include education groups, IOP groups, individual therapy and care coordination support, with diagnostic assessments and other screenings and crisis management dependent on patient and agency need. Deliver positive results as evidenced by utilization of outcome measures. Perform direct service at 100% billable expectations. Community Partnership and Relationship Building Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners and patient treatment teams as assigned. Work collaboratively with courts and probation departments to facilitate referrals into JTP program. Maintain relationships with community stakeholders and other agencies to facilitate successful discharge and ongoing care. Attend regular meetings with correction administration to ensure safety and seamless provision of care assigned. Promote Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers’ services and engage in outreach activities. Documentation Provide accurate, concise and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies. Including, but not limited to Diagnostic Assessments, Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, Discharge Summaries, Safety Plans, Supervisory Logs, Performance Improvement documentation, and Staff Performance Evaluations Professional Development Seek and secure professional development consistent with licensure and credential requirements for personal and organizational growth. Miscellaneous Programmatic Duties and Intra-Organizational Support Capitalise on opportunities to support programmatic needs across the organization. Participate in supervision and team meetings, work groups, task forces, or other general efforts that add value to the success of the organization and programming. Provide crisis intervention/support as needed. Other duties as needed/assigned. Master’s Degree in a human services, social work, mental health or related field. Appropriate licensure such as LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, MFT, IMFT. Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder and/or mental health counseling, including assessment, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group counseling. One year of criminal justice experience preferred. Two years in a personal recovery program, if applicable. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and off-site as required. Background Check and Alcohol and Drug Screen required.
