Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft and Maintenance Levels A, B, C)
This role supports safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment and facilities by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. You will help ensure that all products meet high quality standards, support production goals, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while collaborating closely with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and maintain all safety rules, regulations, and standards at all times while performing maintenance and production support activities.
- Ensure that all products and processes meet established quality standards by maintaining equipment in optimal operating condition.
- Work closely with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency across the production floor.
- Support production goals by keeping equipment running efficiently and minimizing downtime.
- Collect scrap materials from trash and place them in appropriate bins to support proper waste handling and recycling practices.
- Clean the entire work area after completing daily tasks, ensuring it remains free of clutter, debris, and hazards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and practices in daily work, including safety, maintenance, and operational guidelines.
- As a Maintenance Tech C, perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on equipment and facilities under supervision while following established safety and maintenance procedures.
- As a Maintenance Tech B, independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and facility systems while supporting preventive maintenance programs and operational reliability.
- As a Maintenance Tech A, lead complex maintenance and troubleshooting activities, mentor junior technicians, and provide technical expertise to ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- As a Multi-Craft C technician, demonstrate proficiency in Maintenance Technician C, B, and A levels, use PLC software, modify software, perform minor program adjustments, write simple programs, program drives, and program robots.
- As a Multi-Craft B technician, perform all aspects of Multi-Craft C with increased responsibility for PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting.
- As a Multi-Craft A technician, perform all aspects of Multi-Craft B, manage maintenance-related projects, execute complex PLC programming, work with and maintain servo motors, and work with communication protocols such as switches and Ethernet.
- Participate in and support preventive maintenance activities to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
- Use electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to perform accurate installations, repairs, and adjustments.
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, drives, and related electrical and mechanical components.
- Apply lockout/tagout and other safety procedures while working on equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned that relate to the scope and nature of the business and maintenance operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing electrical maintenance, including electrical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems, including motors, drives, and related components.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and follow established maintenance procedures.
- Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and working with PLC control systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to use PLC software to modify software and perform minor program adjustments, as well as write simple programs, program drives, and program robots (required for Multi-Craft levels).
- Experience working with and maintaining servo motors and communication protocols such as switches and Ethernet (required for higher Multi-Craft levels).
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand, and repetitively lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs or more continuously throughout the work shift.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and grasp as part of daily job duties.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and directions in English.
- Willingness to always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
- Successful completion of the Multi-Craft Test at the appropriate level for Multi-Craft C, B, or A roles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenance, including maintenance repair and industrial equipment support.
- Background in maintenance technician roles at C, B, or A levels with increasing responsibility for troubleshooting and leadership.
- Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs and contributing to operational reliability.
- Familiarity with industrial PLC control systems and related hardware.
- Ability and desire to perform other duties as assigned that relate to the scope and nature of the business.
- Interest in ongoing training and development, including participation in outsourced training programs.
- Forklift certification (may be obtained through provided training).
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification (may be obtained through provided training).

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate-controlled industrial facility where temperatures can vary throughout the year. The role operates on a 2/2/3 schedule with 12-hour shifts: day shift runs from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and night shift runs from 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. You will work on and around industrial production equipment, performing maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems. The position requires regular bending, stooping, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, grasping, and repetitively lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs or more throughout the shift. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times on the production floor, and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, are strictly followed. Training and certifications such as forklift and LOTO are provided to support safe and effective work in this environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $87360.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
