Forklift Operator I

Reach Truck OperatorOur client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator for their Plant City, FL facility. This is a full-time contract opportunity requiring hands-on experience operating high reach trucks in a fast-paced warehouse and cold storage environment. Contract Duration: Approximately 20 weeks (800 total hours) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM until shift completion (typically 3-4 PM); overtime required as needed (typically 5-10 hours) Location: Plant City, FL 33566 Travel: None requiredKey Responsibilities:Operate Raymond Reach and Crown RC high reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve productMaintain accurate inventory documentation and recordsEnsure production areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsWork efficiently in cold storage environments, including temperatures as low as 0 degreesFollow all safety protocols related to equipment operation and cold storage workRequired Qualifications:Minimum 6 months of verifiable reach truck experienceDemonstrated ability to operate Raymond Reach and/or Crown RC equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsWillingness and ability to work in cold storage environments (down to 0 degrees); freeze suits provided, though candidates may bring their ownStrong reliability, punctuality, and work ethicMust be available for an in-person interview, which will include a hands-on equipment skills assessmentPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in food distribution, warehousing, or cold chain logisticsFamiliarity with inventory management systemsAbout the Role:This position offers the opportunity to join a well-established organization within the food distribution industry.
