This position offers a fully remote work setting that allows for a balanced work-life environment while you support our patients' mental health needs from the comfort of your home. Our outpatient office is characterized by a collaborative and supportive ethos, where counselors are encouraged to engage in case consultations and team meetings. This flexibility allows you to tailor your approach based on patient needs while maintaining a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential for flexibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' needs accurately, taking into consideration their backgrounds and challenges.

• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Provide individual, couples, and family counseling sessions, adapting techniques to suit varied presentations and dynamics.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, fostering community and shared learning among participants facing similar mental health concerns.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care, including participating in case consultations and team meetings.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Provide educational resources to patients regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources that may assist their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation adhering to all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Stay current on developments within the mental health field through continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including adults and adolescents grappling with a variety of mental health issues. Our patients vary in background and may experience conditions ranging from mild anxiety to severe mood disorders. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in not only diagnosing and treating these individuals but also in creating safe spaces for sharing, learning, and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A strong grasp of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.

• Experience in conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy sessions to a diverse clientele.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.

• Sound judgment and adherence to professional boundaries and ethics in practice.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in outpatient mental health settings or community mental health organizations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
