Procurement Agent II

Overview The Procurement Agent II provides procurement support from quotation to delivery using current systems and processes. The role supports Project Management and Field personnel, including RFI/RFP/RFQ activities, analysis of quotations, creation and verification of purchase orders, and coordination of material/equipment deliveries. The incumbent also identifies and contacts potential vendors, receives bids or quotes, and recommends alternative vendor options. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or relevant technical program. Experience: 2–5 years of purchasing/buying experience in the electrical industry or other relevant business. Travel: up to 10%. Work schedule: 7 AM‑5 PM, Monday‑Friday; overtime may be required. Key Responsibilities Proactively communicates issues, concerns, delays, opportunities to stakeholders and resolves material/supplier issues that pose potential disruption. Applies purchasing material knowledge, prepares purchase orders, works with customers to establish bill of materials, participates in project start‑up meetings, and demonstrates customer service skills. Expedites supplier shipments, deliveries, pickups, applies contract pricing, performs cost calculations, uses ERP systems, and consults on inventory levels. Negotiates and obtains quotes, assists in translating outcomes into agreements, prepares data analysis for negotiations, and participates in external negotiations. Demonstrates organizational agility, collaboration, influence, policy understanding, network building and formal channel execution. Applies continuous improvement concepts, gathers data, uses problem‑solving techniques, and implements solutions. Performs tasks within established processes, uses metrics, and contributes to process improvement. Plans, completes, and implements assignments in a timely manner, assists onboarding of new agents, meets deadlines, and collaborates across functions.
