Physician Assistant

UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Blue Ridge Cancer Center HIGHLIGHTS Practice within a rural community Access to a broad scope of specialist within UNC Health Network A well respected organization in the community and across the state QUALIFICATIONS Education and Licensure Requirements Completion of an accredited graduate –level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) program. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina or eligible. Professional Experience Requirements: At least 2+ year as a Hematology/ Oncology NP is required Prefer candidates with past experience in Hematology and or oncology setting Job duties and expectations: See a variety of hematology and oncology patients, including managing a benign hematology caseload See pretreat patients prior to chemotherapy treatments Complete all chemo education with patients prior to new or changing treatments Support the medical oncologist to see any patients that are having symptoms or concerns Review patient labs and test results to approve treatments Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Demonstrated clinical competency. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
