About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting License: Valid State Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience: 2:1 Description: Variable shift schedule with 12-hour shifts. Starts at either 07:00 or 19:00. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 10 patients. The unit has 20 beds available. Patient diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, and COVID. Special procedures performed include EVD, CRRT, CABG, and others. Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and social services. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). References required covering the last year of experience. All requests for time off and scheduling must be made upfront during submission. Inflexibility beyond contracted schedule may lead to termination of the assignment. No direct contact with facility staff is permitted unless for a scheduled interview. Communication devices necessary for the role will be provided by the client.
