CUSTODIAN I

Job Title

Starting Pay: $15.00/HR

Summary

Under supervision, this position keeps assigned buildings orderly, prepares rooms for meetings, keeps floors clean, replaces burned out light bulbs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Sweeps, scrubs, strips and waxes floors.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Restocks cleaning supplies.
• Empties and cleans waste receptacles, washes windows and walls.
• Assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
• Replaces all burned out light bulbs and reports any hazards found.
• Vacuums carpets and intake structure for HVAC.
• Cleans sinks, commodes, lavatory, kitchen, lunchroom, etc.
• Puts deicer on sidewalks and stairs in the winter time.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of one year of janitorial experience. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
