OVERVIEWThe Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing commodity sourcing strategies for local, regional and national initiatives. The Sourcing Manager identifies the appropriate field resources to execute initiatives, manages supplier relationships and ensures contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe position interfaces with key internal and external clients to obtain their sponsorship, understand their sourcing needs, perform market research, devise sourcing strategies, lead supplier selection process (e.g., competitive bidding, partnership development, consolidation/reducing complexities of the buy, etc.) and negotiate agreements.Develop sourcing strategies within assigned category. This includes analyzing category spend to understand current state, obtaining business requirements from key internal and external clients, identifying and leading cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and creating a sourcing strategy from these elements of due diligenceExecution of sourcing strategies. This includes identifying and leading cross-functional stakeholder teams, developing and managing the sourcing events (RFX’s), and performing all business-related functions of the sourcing initiative, negotiating contracts, etc.Supplier relationship management. This includes development and tracking of key performance indicators for the category of spend, facilitating strategic supplier business meetings that drive adherence to contractual agreements, continuous improvement, innovation and partnership.Partner with operations team by providing management, detailed instruction and continuous follow-up to support the operations teams in daily sourcing and supply chain related activities. Be proactive and manage internal and external customer expectations.Ensure contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio and across business lines.Support service lines in the preparation and management of budgets.Identify and lead appropriate field resources to execute initiatives, manage supplier relationships as it relates to administrative and operational activities and issuesEnsure contracting and procurement standards, policies and procedures are maintained and followed throughout the portfolioPartner with the client and Jones Lang LaSalle Facility Management team to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to the clientAssess and build annual sourcing initiatives that provide detailed service commodity strategies that identify objectives, leveraged spend initiative, and milestone timelinesBring strategic thought leadership to account to identify additional cost and operational efficienciesResponsible for communication, coordination and implementation of local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations to suppliers and operations teamProactively manage internal and external customer expectationsConduct local and regional Preferred Supplier performance review meetings, manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance and service obligationsSupport e-commerce procurement initiatives either corporate or client mandatedAnalyze price proposals, financial reports and other data to determine the reasonability of price and contractor capabilitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related disciplineMBA, a plusMinimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories (e.g., facilities, highly desired)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESComputer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPointProven track record of leading decentralized teams, with an ability to influence across the organization and deliver results in evolving environmentsStrategic mindset with the ability to develop strategic roadmaps and translate into executable plans and supply solutionsSuperior customer service, relationship building and follow up skillsStrong analytical and organizational abilities Excellent inter-personal and communication skillsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
