Quality Engineer

Relate Search has partnered with a manufacturing organization in its search for an experienced Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives for complex equipment used in oilfield services and power generation. This role is focused on supporting product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction within a high-spec, safety-critical manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer will implement quality assurance processes, conduct audits, and collaborate across engineering, suppliers, sales, and operations to identify, address, and resolve quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives supporting the manufacture of complex equipment used in oilfield services and power generation.
• Implement quality assurance processes and conduct audits to support product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve supplier quality processes and overall quality performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and preventive measures that address quality issues and reduce recurrence.
• Partner with engineering, suppliers, sales, and operations to investigate, communicate, and resolve quality-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; ASQ Quality Engineer certification may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of quality engineering experience, preferably within the oil and gas or energy generation sectors.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement capabilities, including identifying quality improvement opportunities and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening skills, and the ability to clearly communicate across functions and with suppliers.
• Adaptability, accountability, integrity, and the ability to respond effectively to changing situations and priorities.
