Campus Network Engineer

Campus Network Engineer – Wayne, Pennsylvania (Partial Remote) Role Overview We are seeking a versatile WLAN/LAN Engineer to join a network team. The role provides expertise across various network technologies to ensure seamless operations and advanced-level network services for WLAN and LAN infrastructure. This position offers support and guidance for network design and installation projects using standard technologies. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and troubleshoot Campus WLAN/LAN networks. Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst Center, ISE, and Catalyst 9k switches. Configure and manage Aruba Central, Mobility Gateways, Access Points, and ClearPass. Collaborate on network upgrades, projects, and migrations. Ensure network security, availability, and performance. Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams. Participate in a rotational on-call support for critical network issues. Required Qualifications Education: An undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience: 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN engineering. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center, ISE, and Catalyst 9k switches. Proficiency with HPE Aruba Wireless Mobility Infrastructure and ClearPass. Understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). Knowledge of switching protocols (STP, VLANs, Trunking). Familiarity with network security best practices. Certifications A CCNP or CCIE certification in Enterprise Routing and Switching or Wireless is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SD-WAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela or HPE EdgeConnect. Knowledge of network automation tools like Ansible or Python. Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions (AWS, Azure). Cellular DAS experience. Knowledge of Ekahau products. Understanding of ITIL or similar service management frameworks. Certification in HPE Aruba solutions (ACMA, ACMP). Experience with network monitoring and analytics tools such as SolarWinds or Splunk.
