FULL-TIME CLOSING DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

Midwest Title & Escrow is looking for a sharp, dependable and motivated person to join our Closing Department.

If you already have experience in title insurance, real estate, mortgage lending, banking, bookkeeping or accounting, we would love to hear from you. However, industry experience is not required. We are willing to train an exceptional candidate who has the right work ethic and aptitude.

The Closing Department handles time-sensitive real estate transactions with firm deadlines and a lot of moving pieces. Some days are extremely busy. We need someone who can learn quickly, pay attention to details, prioritize their workload and take ownership of their responsibilities.

We are especially interested in someone who:

• Has an excellent attendance and punctuality history
• Is intelligent, resourceful and a quick learner
• Is a self-starter who looks for what needs to be done
• Has strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Is comfortable working with numbers and financial information
• Can manage multiple deadlines without losing attention to detail
• Communicates professionally with customers, lenders, Realtors and coworkers
• Wants to learn and grow into a career rather than simply fill a position

Previous title, escrow, real estate or mortgage lending experience is highly desirable, but we will train the right person.

A college degree is not required. An accounting background, bookkeeping experience or strong aptitude with numbers would be particularly helpful.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. This is a 5 day per week, in-office position.
