Maintenance Support Technician

Quality Packaging Inc. is looking for a reliable Maintenance Support Technician to join our tight‑knit team in Fond du Lac, WI. What You’ll Do Keep production running—perform urgent on‑the‑spot repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on time, every time. Own equipment safety—verify safety switches are functioning and ensure pinch points and hazards are clearly marked. Handle facility upkeep—tackle building repairs (doorknobs, door closures, and more) quickly and efficiently. Retool and set up equipment as needed to support production demands. Maintain a clean, organized parts room so the right part is always easy to find. Process internal repair orders for full accountability and transparent tracking. Drive downtime reduction—your goal is to minimize disruptions and maximize output. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing service environment. Self‑starter mentality— you don't wait to be told, you spot a problem and fix it. Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out written and oral instructions. Strong communication skills and a true team‑player attitude. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the majority of your shift. Good close and color vision with the ability to adjust focus (working with machinery and detailed parts). Compensation Mid‑Level Technician (1-3 years of experience) $27-$30/hour Experienced Technician (3-7 years of experience) $32-$38/hour Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM — no rotating nights or weekends by default. Predictable schedule. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role is primarily on the production floor—a moderately noisy environment where you’ll be on your feet and moving. You’ll regularly stand, walk, and use your hands to operate tools and equipment. Occasional work outside standard hours may be required to meet customer needs.
