Merchandise Manager

Position Overview Hourly position. Starting at $19.90 per hour. Responsibilities Oversee the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock. Manage display setup and maintenance for store sections, ensuring signage and promotions are accurate. Complete opening and closing tasks, securing cash, locking doors, and setting alarms. Act as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations, staff management, and customer service. Oversee daily activities of all associates, ensuring effective duty performance and excellent customer service. Support onboarding and training of associates in store policies, product knowledge, and procedures. Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service. Execute market plan by arranging products and signage per corporate guidelines. Ensure compliance with the Inventory Integrity process. Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Creative thinking. Ability to maintain composure under pressure. Essential Job Functions Frequently operate cash register. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs; place and remove items up to 10 feet high. Ascend and descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and sales floor. Communicate with customers face-to-face and over the phone, exchanging accurate information. Assist customers across the sales floor and retrieve and put away merchandise. Work a flexible schedule: day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required. Identify and follow email and print instructions on merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs. Remain stationary upright for 80% of the time.
