Low Voltage ElectricianSher Contracting is hiring low voltage electricians to install, terminate, and test structured cabling and low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments. We believe in creating an environment where diverse talents are not only welcomed but celebrated.What You'll DoPull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, coax, control cable, and fiber in conduit, baskets, J-hooks, and walls/ceilingsSet and terminate patch panels, keystones, jacks, and racks; perform RJ-45 (110/66 punch), coax terminations; assist with fiber prep/terminationInstall devices: cameras, card readers, door strikes, panels, speakers, APs, and related hardwareRead prints, risers, and one-lines; follow scope, JSA, LOTO, and site safety proceduresTest and certify cabling (Fluke/continuity), document results, and complete redlines/as-builtsCollaborate with foreman/GCs; maintain a neat work area and professional customer communicationQualificationsRequired: 1+ year in low-voltage (or strong electrical/cabling experience); proficiency with cable pulling, dressing, labeling, and copper terminationsAbility to use hand/power tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment safelyRead/interpret construction drawings and scope sheetsWork at heights and in active construction areas; lift 50+ lbs; stand/walk most of shiftValid driver's license; reliable transportation; punctual and dependableNice to Have (Plus)Fiber prep/connectorization, fusion splicing, and OTDR testingCCTV, access control, intercom, AV/paging, or fire alarm low-voltage device install experienceCertifications: OSHA-10/30, Hilti/Anchoring, Aerial/Scissor-Lift, BICSI, manufacturer credentialsFluke DSX test/certify experience; basic IP/networking familiarity$25 - $31 per hour
