Finance Manager

Overview Join a growing, mission-driven education organization with a $50M+ operating budget serving students across multiple schools throughout New York City. This newly created position offers the opportunity to play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making while partnering directly with senior leadership. What You'll Do Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools Analyze budget vs. actual results and provide actionable insights Partner with business leaders on financial decision‑making Prepare management reporting and performance analysis Support continuous improvement of FP&A processes and controls What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field from a strong academic program 3+ years of finance, FP&A, accounting, consulting, or analytical experience Experience in a mission-driven organization preferred Nonprofit, education, charter school, college, or private school experience is a plus Endowment or donation-funded organization experience is highly desirable Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities Why Consider This Opportunity?
