Position Details

• Position: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
• Contract Length: 17 Weeks (119 Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Care Setting: Acute Care Operating Room

Schedule

• Shift: 10-Hour Days
• Hours: 10:45 AM – 9:15 PM
• Schedule: Rotating days off
• Call: Required (weekday and weekend)
• Weekend Requirement: Approximately 1 weekend every quarter
• Holiday Requirement: Required; rotates with permanent staff

Required Experience

• 2–3 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Strong competency across multiple surgical specialties
• Reliable attendance and flexibility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume OR
• General OR experience required; scrubbing experience preferred but not required

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Active RN license required at submission

Required Skills

• Circulating in the Operating Room
• Competency in multiple surgical services
• Ability to work in a high-volume surgical environment
• Flexibility with scheduling and assignments
• Accurate completion of skills checklist (ratings of "3" indicate proficiency)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate during surgical procedures
• Provide safe perioperative nursing care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team members
• Maintain sterile environment and patient safety
• Participate in on-call coverage
• Support efficient OR workflow and case turnover
