Walden & Associates is a thriving mid-sized firm specializing in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. Based in Irvine, California, we focus on Land Development projects, encompassing commercial/industrial and residential sectors, as well as providing services to local public works agencies. Our comprehensive services include land planning, Tentative and Final Mapping, and a range of Land Development solutions such as mapping, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction staking.
We are seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor or an LSIT pursuing their LS, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land development and be well-versed in the overall development process, including field surveying & construction staking, mapping, and boundary establishment. This role requires a skilled professional who can perform survey calculations, boundary analysis, and provide field support for various land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee survey calculations, boundary analysis, and field support for land development projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D software to produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other survey-related exhibits.
- Manage survey projects from inception to completion, including research, client and agency coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, local agencies, and team members, ensuring project requirements are met.
- Mentor and guide field crew and office staff, fostering teamwork and professional development.
- Sign and seal survey documents as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Land Surveyor License in California, or LSIT pursuing their LS.
- 8+ years of experience in land development, including field surveying, mapping, topographic surveys, and boundary establishment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience with commercial and residential construction staking is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively.
