Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist assists a surgeon before, during, and after surgery. The role is under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Candidates must have experience with open heart instrumentation and supplies. On-call duty is required approximately every other day and every other weekend. Typical procedures performed include CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker placements, and laser lead extractions. Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures is preferred. The technologist may need to provide lunch relief in various surgical service lines. The work environment requires the ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting. Scrub color is provided by the facility.
