Registered Nurse Operating Room

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The position involves working five days a week for eight hours each day, or four days for ten hours per day. The schedule includes one to two call shifts per week, with the possibility of needing to cover additional shifts during vacation times. One to two weekends per month may be required, typically one weekend but subject to change. Holiday call may be required. ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred as a pediatric program is anticipated. Opportunities for voluntary time off may be available twice a month due to low volume. Candidates should ideally have two years of travel experience. All candidates must adhere to a minimum radius rule of 160 miles from the facility. Experience in trauma Level I or II is preferred. Hands-on skills in various surgical procedures such as thoracotomy, appendectomy, and total joint replacement are required. Knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, and universal protocol is essential. The facility routinely handles a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily case volume is approximately 30. A minimum of one supervisory reference is required for this position.
