HousekeeperA private estate in the Washington, DC area is seeking a skilled, dedicated Housekeeper to join a collaborative team within a beautifully maintained primary residence. This is a fully staffed home, and candidates should have experience working in a similar environment, with a strong understanding of team dynamics and household standards.This is a hands-on role reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and maintains a high level of detail and consistency. The right candidate is reliable, professional, and understands how to operate with discretion, providing seamless, unobtrusive service while respecting the privacy and rhythm of the home. Direct experience in a primary residence is strongly preferred.Responsibilities:Perform thorough, detail-oriented housekeeping throughout the residence including all bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, kitchens, and living spacesFollow established housekeeping routines, checklists, and standards as directed by the Lead HousekeeperCare for fine furnishings, fabrics, surfaces, and materials with the appropriate products and techniquesProvide discreet, behind-the-scenes support, ensuring the home operates smoothly without disruption to the principalsAssist with laundry, linen management, and wardrobe care as neededMaintain organization throughout household storage areas, closets, and utility spacesReceive and follow instruction clearly and consistently, and communicate openly with the Lead Housekeeper regarding any issues or needsWork collaboratively and respectfully alongside fellow housekeeping team membersAdapt to the household's routines and priorities as they shift from day to dayMonday-Friday with the ability to occasionally work weekends with advance noticeQualifications:Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience in a high end private residential setting requiredMust be local to the Washington, DC areaGenuine attention to detail and a high personal standard of cleanliness and careAbility to follow detailed instruction and maintain consistent quality across all tasksKnowledge of appropriate cleaning products and techniques for high-end surfaces, fabrics, and furnishingsCollaborative, team-oriented, and professional in demeanorAbility and desire to work quietly and efficientlyFluency in English, written and verbalReliable, punctual, and takes pride in showing up fully prepared to do the work wellMust be legally authorized to work in the United States, able to pass a background check, and provide professional references from prior private household employersCompensation:$48 per hourFull benefits packageDM Estate Staffing is a domestic staffing firm headquartered in Silicon Valley, dedicated to connecting exceptional Private Service Professionals with private clients and family offices across the United States.
