Material Handler

Material HandlerD.W. Distribution is currently looking for a Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization in our Midlothian TX facility. This position will be working our 1st SHIFT starting at 7:00am - 4:00pm CST. A Material Handler performs a number of different and important responsibilities in the Pre-hanging/Pre-finishing operation including material receiving, material & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the appropriate loading dock locationUse of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to appropriate dock doorMove any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or RTVUse of a forklift and order picker will be requiredConduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standardsMeet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as pulled and/or loadedAssure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock and warehouse aislesStrive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracyMay be required to assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessaryPerform other duties as assignedEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)Experience: One year or more of Forklift operator experience.
