As a Security Officer in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate $18.96 / Hour Job Schedule Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a technology-focused location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and escalating matters according to site‑specific procedures. Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology and logistics environment. Minimum Requirements At least six months of security‑related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
