What You'll Do
- Provide anesthesia coverage for general surgical cases across high acuity inpatient and outpatient settings
- Float between sister facilities, including Bay Front, Mt. Zion, Mission Bay, Ortho Institute, Parnassus, and Burlingame
- Manage adult and adolescent (13+) patients in hospital OR and outpatient clinics
- Support CRNAs as needed, working independently in tiered care environments
- Cover diverse cases, including complex gallbladder and oncologic surgeries, with no cardiac, liver, or neuro cases required
- Utilize EPIC for perioperative documentation and order entry
- Adapt approach to different patient age groups and clinical settings, ensuring high standards of safety and care
What You Need
- Active California Medical License and DEA with Schedule 2/2N
- Board certification in Anesthesiology (or eligible with fellowship training)
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience in tertiary or high-acuity centers
- Experience managing adult and adolescent anesthesia cases
- Strong knowledge of EPIC platform for documentation and orders
- Willingness to float across multiple facilities and adapt to variable workflows
About the Assignment
This assignment at a leading facility in Hillsborough involves providing anesthesia for a range of general procedures, occasionally regional cases, in a fast-paced hospital environment. Providers will predominantly work solo with support staff including CRNAs, covering adult and adolescent patients across high-acuity inpatient and outpatient surgical settings.
