MRI Tech Per Diem

Job Summary As an MRI Technologist (MRI Tech Per Diem) at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, you will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, utilize MRI equipment, and apply your knowledge of anatomy and patient positioning to achieve optimal imaging. You will explain procedures to patients, address questions, and ensure patient comfort. Perform MRI examinations with proper contrast media protocols. Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification. Evaluate quality of MRI procedure and determine if additional imaging is required prior to communicating procedure information to the radiologist. Participate in on‑call duties as assigned to meet department needs. What qualifications you will need: ARRT‑MR or ARMRIT registered Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date Two years’ experience as an MRI technologist in a hospital environment preferred Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or accredited MRI program preferred Benefits Portsmouth Regional Hospital offers a total rewards package supporting the health, life, career, and retirement of colleagues.
