Job Overview and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care by utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
- Regularly assesses patient pain to facilitate effective pain management, including follow-up evaluations after interventions.
- Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation of care in the patient’s medical record.
- Delivers outstanding care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating and addressing their needs.
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up actions, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
- Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-pharmacological follow-up measures, such as healthy eating, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications, preparing them for future self-management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be completed within one year of starting employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be completed within one year of starting employment.
- Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Possess an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Registered Nurse Diploma.
- No travel is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
