Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Part-time, - Free-standing Facility, TH Burleson Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Burleson, 2750 Southwest Wilshire Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028 Work hours: Part time, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, Rotating 11 A and 3 P shift Department Highlights 10-bed emergency department Located about 15 miles south of downtown Ft. Worth Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week Full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff Providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Here's what you need: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS - within 90 days of hire required PALS - within 90 days of hire required or ENPC - within 12 months of hire required NIHSS - within 90 days of hire required TNCC or ATCN - within 12 months of hire required CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire 1-year clinical nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program required ED experience strongly preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do: Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
