Job DescriptionUW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Materials Handling Aide 2 (Temp, Per Diem)WORK SCHEDULEPer DiemVariable ShiftsThis is a fixed duration appointment, anticipated to be 12 months in duration.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONUW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.POSITION HIGHLIGHTSPut away supplies into clean rooms, carts, and other supply locations utilizing proper rotationScan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock itemsPick supplies utilizing a Zebra Handheld device for tech ordersCheck various supply locations for product expiration dates and removal according to policyPerform basic disinfection, storage, and distribution of minor equipmentPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologiesPerform issues and credits in Workday, ensuring the cost of the items are allocated appropriatelyUtilize various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programsManage rental equipment, including rounding in nursing areas, verifying correct charges, ordering needed equipment, and discontinuing unneeded equipmentAnswer phone calls and emails and respond to customer service requestsREQUIREMENTSHigh school graduation AND 6 months of supply chain experienceEquivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWESTUW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
