The Summer Camp SYEP Staff supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned educational and enrichment activities for the summer camp enrichment and recreational program. Major Duties: Assist the group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events Supervise participants throughout summer camp program Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the summer camp model Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Follows all GSS, DYCD, DOE and SACC regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Assists with support with trips Qualifications Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth. Must be available during the program hours listed above. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment. Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
