The Transit Protection Officer Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The Transit Protection Flex Officer will work at various assignments and may be called upon to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice.Protect the Journey. D and G License required to work Payrate $24.81 per hour RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the postAid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMake emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post OrdersMake productivity and cost reduction recommendations to managementMake recommendations for physical security surveys and post ordersQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Must possess one or more of the following Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch Be at least 21 years of age, or higher Guard card is required.
