Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring BSN and MA RN licensure with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a community hospital's Family Birthplace
• Private rooms with infant warmers and monitoring equipment
• Dedicated operating rooms available for Cesarean births with around-the-clock anesthesia services
• Collaborative care model with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed time
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• On-call requirements may apply

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience required
• Post Partum/Mother Baby experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Current STABLE certification
• Skills checklists required for Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and Mother Baby, each current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Provide individualized labor, delivery, and postpartum care in collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• Requested time off must be submitted and verified prior to consideration, with no more than 5 days of RTO accepted
• Schedule and RTO requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
• Candidates requesting schedule accommodations, such as block scheduling, will not be considered
