Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

The Department of Physiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a skilled, BC/BE Physiatrist to work full-time at their hospitals in the Catawba Division. This community-based practice uses a streamlined, multidisciplinary approach to provide high quality, compassionate care to patients in the Lancaster and the surrounding communities.

MUSC Health plans for a comprehensive medical campus in Indian Land, South Carolina, designed to meet the evolving needs of this rapidly growing and diverse community, home to families, 55+ neighborhoods, and vibrant mixed-use developments. The new campus will include a three-story medical office building and MUSC Health Indian Land Medical Center, a full-service hospital anticipated to break ground in 2025.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must be MD/DO and BC/BE in PM&R
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of South Carolina
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills

Position Highlights:

• The team is made up of rehab nursing, PT, OT, SLP, and case management. Routine Hospitalist consultation and specialty consultative services are available as needed.
• Work is inpatient and outpatient.
• Experience with general inpatient rehab care, including neurological, musculoskeletal, amputation, general medical conditions, team coordination and effective communication, and CMS inpatient rehab policies.
