Registered Nurse – Surgical / PACU

Schedule

On-call requirement: 2 days per week (includes holidays and weekends). Weekend expectation: 3 x 24-hour on-call weekend shifts per month. Holiday requirement: Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks, guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Endoscopy experience is required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and perioperative code response.
Experience with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

Circulate in surgery and recover patients in PACU.
Monitor patients during and post-procedure.
Administer medications and manage patient care pre- and post-anesthesia.
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Provide education and support to patients and families.
Conduct patient assessments and document care accordingly.

Compliance / Notes

Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission. Background policy includes no Nursys or background hits accepted. Must disclose prior experience with the facility if applicable.
