Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including IEP development and implementation
• Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional accommodations, and behavior support strategies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to partner with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional materials to meet a range of student abilities and learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver appropriate lesson plans based on students’ IEP goals and state standards
• Conduct assessments and track progress, adjusting instructional approaches to maximize student growth
• Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation for compliance
• Collaborate proactively with general education teachers and support staff for purposeful inclusion and intervention
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction as needed to reinforce concepts and build confidence
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom climate that encourages independence, achievement, and self-advocacy
