Job Description

At NorthBay Health the Board Certified, Licensed Internal Medicine Physician will practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
• Call Ratio : Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites
• Daily Patient Census: 18 patients per day
• Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
• Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition
• Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
• Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient
• Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary
• Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group
• Collaborate and manage APPs

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state
• Proven experience in a primary care setting
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Compensation and perks:

• Annual Compensation Range: IM $350,000 - W2 employee model (compensation based on 1.0 FTE, full time)
• Signing Bonus: up to $30,000
• Retention Bonus (beginning at the completion of the 2nd year): up to $30,000 per year
• Relocation bonus: up to $15,000 (based on location)
• Residency Stipend: up to $2,000 a month 
• APP Supervision after 2nd year: up to $1,500 per month per 1.0 FTE APP
