Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Wellness resources 401(k) matching Bonus based on performance Company parties Dental insurance Full Job Description We are looking for a hands‑on Controller to enhance financial performance and operational decision‑making throughout the company by maximizing utilization of Quick Books accounting system and manage the Finance and Accounting operations including financial reporting, AR/AP, payroll, cash management and account reconciliations. This is a very strategic position reporting directly to the President. Responsibilities Serving as an internal resource to upper management on all financial matters, making appropriate recommendations and suggestions to produce a financial infrastructure for sustained growth. Build and maintain detailed financial reports to support short and long‑term strategic planning. Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators. Develop deep understanding of industry trends as well as competitive pressures/opportunities. Present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to upper management team. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems. Assist with tax return preparation. Ensure that state and federal income tax reporting is accurate and current. Build relationships with banks, customers, and vendors. Manage small staff of admin personnel. Oversee daily financial transactions. Oversee general ledger entries and reconcile GL accounts. Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close. Responsible for budgeting and daily cash flow management. May manage other areas of the company as needed. Must Haves Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the home service industry. Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements. Thorough attention to detail with on‑time delivery. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. Extensive quantitative and qualitative financial analysis. Strong communication skills; able to present complex information to leaders clearly. Ability to distill important numbers and convey a strategic view of performance. Highly organized and process driven with exceptional follow‑through abilities. In‑depth understanding of debit and credit accounting processes. Must be forward thinking with a desire to learn and grow professionally, which blends well with a fast‑paced, goal‑driven environment. Proven record of being proactive and implementing new processes and procedures. Ability to manage priorities. Strong analytical and accounting system acumen. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with Service Titan, QuickBooks & ADP Payroll software packages. Business analytics experience. Home service industry experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel.
