Green Hills Family Dentistry is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team in one of Nashville's premier communities. Position Details

This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule:

Monday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Thursday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting clinical operations while helping create a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the doctor during a variety of dental procedures
• Preparing and breaking down treatment rooms
• Taking digital radiographs and updating patient records
• Educating patients on treatment recommendations and oral health
• Maintaining infection control and sterilization standards
• Supporting efficient clinical workflows and patient scheduling
• Managing clinical supplies and equipment
• Collaborating with the dental team to achieve office goals and provide exceptional care
• Building strong relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit

Requirements

• Previous Dental Assistant experience preferred
• Current Tennessee Dental Assistant credentials, as applicable
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols
• Experience with digital radiography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Self-motivated and dependable with a proactive approach to patient care
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support office success
• Goal-oriented individual committed to delivering outstanding patient experiences

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience working in a patient- or customer-centered environment
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Dental assisting school certification
