Bus Driver - Shuttle Driver - CDL

WeDriveU is the leader in shared mobility solutions that connect communities, campuses, and workplaces. WeDriveU operates private shuttle and public transit systems across the U.S serving millions of passenger journeys a year. The Shuttle Driver/Tour guide is responsible for following safety protocol, schedules and pre-determined routes. The driver will also act as the tour guide throughout the trip. The vehicle used is open air and tows a trailer through narrow roadways. The shuttle holds 62 passengers, is electric and runs off batteries. Duties and Responsibilities: Exceptional attendance and punctuality Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations Interact with customers and our central dispatch team and managers in a professional manner Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, i.e., answer questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices The drivers are responsible for plugging and charging the vehicles at end of day Skills Required and Physical Demands: Use route navigation apps, and other technology, including knowledge of area to pick up and drop off our customers Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty-five minutes Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain Flexible scheduled to work outside of regular days and shifts Comfortable working a split shift schedule Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers Education and Qualifications: Commercial driver’s license (A or B) Airbrake endorsement Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check High School Diploma/GED (Preferred) At least 1 year of driving experience (Preferred) We Offer Exceptional Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance benefits Competitive compensation packages 401(k) with 4% employer match Financial Wellness Tool Employee Assistance Program (EAP) PTO for part-time and full-time positions Paid holidays Pet & Legal Insurance On-the-job training and skills development Internal transfer opportunities for career growth WeDriveU is an equal opportunity employer.
