Job Details Job Location: Village Cafe - Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Serves patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner. Provides information to help food and beverage selections. Presents ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner. Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers tables rapidly and accurately Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins Serve welcome drinks and hors doeuvres, upon guests arrival Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) Check-in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed Remove dirty dishes and utensils Prepares room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs and observing the dining process. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return. Other duties may be assigned by the department head. Qualifications Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner. Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures. Proven restaurant experience Hands-on experience in cashier duties Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude Responsible and trustworthy High school diploma is a plus but not required Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
