Part-Time Tool Technician

A Brief Overview A Tool Technician has a high level of expertise and ability to diagnose and repair a variety of power tools and equipment. Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am-1:00pm What you will do Diagnose and make repairs on pneumatic tools such as power nailers & staplers. Disassemble tools and use testing devices to identify problems. Follow manufacturer directions and warranty requirements when installing products. Use technical manuals to determine required replacement parts and assemble tools based on manufacturer’s guidelines. Track time and materials as required for each repair job. Prepare paperwork and keep stock of repair parts. Operate all equipment in safe and responsible manner. Train entry-level technicians on proper techniques and methods. Receive threaded mechanical fasteners ensuring correct item, price and quantity shipped. Deliver products to customers. Manage inventory stock for customers which includes recording inventory needed for replenishment, reporting to buyer items needed for order, deliver stock and restocking product as per customer request. Provide quality customer service. Attend all training to learn new technology. Cross-train in other areas to expand knowledge and expertise. Required For All Jobs Perform other duties as assigned. Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Qualifications 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing power tools required. Combination of power tool repair training from a vocational school required. Skills and Abilities Good mechanical skills and understanding of schematics and diagrams Must be computer literate, organized and accurate Occasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbs Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must have knowledge of threaded mechanical fasteners Ability to work overtime as needed .
