Overview RN-Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Med Surg/Tele) – Night Shift Location: Lafayette, LA 70503 Schedule: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours) Duration: 8 Weeks Experience requirements, education, licensure, and duties are described below. Position Overview The Registered Nurse functions as a leader in the delivery of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, directing and assisting support staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, promoting positive patient outcomes, and maintaining professional accountability. Department & Specialty Med Surg Tele Unit Telemetry / Medical-Surgical Nursing Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care Monitor and manage telemetry patients Deliver safe and effective nursing care according to established standards Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans as needed Education & Qualifications Required Registered Nurse Diploma Preferred Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Previous Telemetry and Med/Surg experience Specialty certification in a related clinical area Licensure & Certifications Required Current RN License in State of Practice BLS (American Heart Association) ACLS (American Heart Association) Skills & Competencies Telemetry Monitoring Cardiac Patient Care Patient Assessment & Reassessment Care Planning & Documentation Leadership & Delegation Skills Critical Thinking & Clinical Judgment Time Management Interdisciplinary Collaboration Computer and EMR Proficiency Patient and Family Education Key Responsibilities (Cont.)
