Responsibilities

• Provide
  
  
  preventive
  
  
  and
  
  
  periodontal
  
  
  dental
  
  
  hygiene
  
  
  services
  
  
  in
  
  
  accordance
  
  
  with
  
  
  state
  
  
  regulations
  
  
  and
  
  
  practice
  
  
  protocols.
• Complete
  
  
  comprehensive
  
  
  patient
  
  
  assessments,
  
  
  including
  
  
  reviewing
  
  
  medical
  
  
  histories,
  
  
  periodontal
  
  
  charting,
  
  
  and
  
  
  oral
  
  
  health
  
  
  evaluations.
• Take
  
  
  and
  
  
  review
  
  
  digital
  
  
  radiographs
  
  
  using
  
  
  Dexis.
• Educate
  
  
  patients
  
  
  on
  
  
  oral
  
  
  health,
  
  
  treatment
  
  
  needs,
  
  
  and
  
  
  preventive
  
  
  care
  
  
  recommendations.
• Partner
  
  
  with
  
  
  doctors
  
  
  and
  
  
  team
  
  
  members
  
  
  to
  
  
  deliver
  
  
  an
  
  
  outstanding
  
  
  patient
  
  
  experience.
• Accurately
  
  
  document
  
  
  patient
  
  
  information
  
  
  and
  
  
  treatment
  
  
  notes
  
  
  in
  
  
  Dentrix.
• Maintain
  
  
  compliance
  
  
  with
  
  
  infection
  
  
  control,
  
  
  OSHA,
  
  
  and
  
  
  HIPAA
  
  
  standards.
• Adapt
  
  
  to
  
  
  the
  
  
  needs
  
  
  of
  
  
  a
  
  
  busy,
  
  
  fast-paced
  
  
  practice
  
  
  while
  
  
  delivering
  
  
  high-quality
  
  
  care.
• Build

Qualifications

• Current
  
  
  Dental
  
  
  Hygienist
  
  
  license
  
  
  in
  
  
  the
  
  
  state
  
  
  of
  
  
  Florida.
• Current
  
  
  CPR
  
  
  certification.
• Previous
  
  
  dental
  
  
  hygiene
  
  
  experience
  
  
  preferred.
• Experience
  
  
  using
  
  
  Dentrix
  practice
  
  
  management
  
  
  software.
• Experience
  
  
  using
  
  
  Dexis
  digital
  
  
  imaging
  
  
  software.
• Strong
  
  
  communication
  
  
  and
  
  
  patient
  
  
  education
  
  
  skills.
• Ability

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
