The Canyons Post-Acute is seeking an experienced and dependable Respiratory Therapist Lead (RT Lead) to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with previous RT Lead experience or at least 2-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist . The ideal candidate will provide quality respiratory care while supporting daily respiratory services, staff coordination, and clinical compliance.

• Provide respiratory assessments, treatments, oxygen therapy, airway management, and other respiratory interventions within the scope of practice.

• Monitor residents receiving oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and other specialized respiratory services, as applicable.

• Coordinate daily respiratory therapy assignments and support appropriate coverage for resident care needs.

• Monitor residents' responses to treatments and report significant changes in condition to nursing staff and the appropriate providers.

• Support physician orders and resident care plans related to respiratory services.

• Provide clinical guidance, training, and support to respiratory therapy staff.

• Assist with staff orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing education.

• Ensure proper respiratory care documentation and compliance with facility policies and infection prevention standards.

• Monitor respiratory equipment, supplies, and emergency equipment to ensure they are safe and readily available.

• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members.

• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory readiness.

• Respond to respiratory emergencies and help coordinate appropriate clinical interventions.

• Promote resident safety, dignity, and high-quality respiratory care.

• Current and active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.

• Previous RT Lead experience or at least 2-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• ACLS certification preferred, based on facility requirements.

• Skilled nursing facility (SNF), post-acute, long-term care, or hospital experience preferred.

• Experience with oxygen therapy, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and respiratory equipment preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Ability to coordinate respiratory services, support staff, and manage multiple priorities.

• Commitment to resident safety, teamwork, and quality patient care.
