Position Summary Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital Schedule: 3x12s on weekend nights Time: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Shift Days: Saturday, Sunday, and one week night Our Cardiac Tele unit is a 30‑bed unit with a 6:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio. Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and patients. Function as a patient and family advocate. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age‑appropriate care to patients served in the unit. Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician as required. Communicate and collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage the unit effectively. Serve as a role model for staff and support the hospital and nursing department’s goals and strategies. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan; assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information to identify age‑specific needs. Coordinate care and delegate tasks to team members based on patient needs and team members’ qualifications. Document patient care consistently and accurately in compliance with required standards, including assessment, education, medication administration, treatments, and patient safety. Demonstrate competency in nursing skills and use of unit equipment as defined by specific skill requirements. Prioritize patient care continuously, following evidence‑based practice standards. Practice effective problem identification and resolution. Delegate tasks and duties to healthcare team members according to patient needs and team member capabilities. Communicate pertinent information about patient condition or unit concerns to other healthcare team members. Provide compassionate and therapeutic care that fosters a caring environment for patients and families. Demonstrate awareness of legal issues and patients’ rights. Collaborate with the education department and nursing leadership to transition and support new team members and students. Maintain compliance with all Baptist Health and Orlando Health policies and procedures. Partner with nursing leadership to identify professional development needs. Qualifications Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health, Orlando Health, and the assigned unit/department. Licensure/Certification: Maintain a current State of Alabama RN license or valid NLC multistate RN license; maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC (required for certain areas). #J-18808-Ljbffr
