Acute Care Occupational Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:00, primarily during weekdays. Cannot guarantee three consecutive days off but will strive to provide a consistent schedule. Weekend coverage will involve working two weekend days per month.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide care to adults and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions aimed at rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Perform therapeutic interventions and document progress
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Current BLS certification
• Valid NBCOT certification
• Active Occupational Therapy license in Alaska or pending license accepted
