Experience the rewards of supporting local schools as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Detroit area. With two openings available, this contract position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact while working with caseloads well below state maximums. You’ll find flexibility in grade level assignment, working with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings based on your skills and preference.

Both seasoned SLPs with their CCC and recent graduates pursuing their CF are encouraged to apply—robust CF supervision and mentorship are provided to help you thrive. This role is needed urgently and will extend from now through June 2026, with strong potential for renewal.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Valid Michigan SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
• CCC-SLP preferred, but strong CF-SLP candidates welcome (full clinical fellowship support provided)
• Experience in school settings or with pediatric caseloads a bonus
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 45–57 students—well below the state’s maximum
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement IEPs and tailored therapy plans
• Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to students
• Support students' progress through data-driven documentation and communication with staff and parents
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as an engaged and valued contributor
