Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Port Lavaca, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting site procedures and providing exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat07:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun07:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor entry, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures. Minimum Requirements: Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential. Preferred qualification: ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Preferred qualification: possess a guard card or license. This is primarily a driving post. Preferred qualification: comfortable using a computer or tablet. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
