Looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in students’ lives? A contract position is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support K-12 students in a supportive school environment near Canton, MI. This is a full-time opening beginning as soon as possible and running through December, with the possibility to continue into the spring semester.

Your expertise will be essential in helping children achieve their academic and developmental goals. You’ll work alongside educators and therapists to provide targeted support to students, with a particular focus on elementary grades.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
• Previous experience supporting K-12 or pediatric populations in school settings is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a school environment
• Eagerness to work with elementary-aged children as well as other grade levels as needed

What you'll do:

• Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting evaluations and delivering interventions
• Implement treatment plans tailored for individual students or small groups, focusing on fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines
• Track and document student progress, making ongoing adjustments to strategies as needed
• Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student needs
