This role involves collaboration with educators, families, and other related service providers to promote student independence and success in the school environment. Key Responsibilities Intervention & Service Delivery Review and execute all OT IEP's under the supervision of an OT Implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals. Provide direct therapy services in individual, small group, or classroom settings. Support students in areas such as handwriting, self-regulation, attention, organization, and daily living skills. Recommend and implement accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology. Collaboration & Consultation Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to integrate strategies into the classroom. Provide consultation to staff on sensory supports, classroom ergonomics, and motor skill development. Communicate regularly with families to support carryover of strategies at home. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress notes Contribute to goal development and progress reporting. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Massachusetts DESE regulations. Professional Development & Supervision Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric occupational therapy. OTAs work under the supervision of a licensed OT and follow state guidelines for delegated tasks. Qualifications For OTA Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Massachusetts licensure as an OTA. Supervision by a licensed OT as required by state regulations. School-based experience preferred.
