Director of Purchasing- Margaritaville Resort Orlando

THE OPPORTUNITYMargaritaville Resort Orlando is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Purchasing to lead procurement operations across a growing hospitality portfolio that includes resorts, vacation homes, food and beverage operations, and corporate facilities. This role serves as the organization's procurement leader, responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing vendor partnerships, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services that support operational excellence.The Director of Purchasing partners closely with Operations, Finance, Accounting, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to ensure purchasing decisions align with the propertiy's objectives, budget expectations, and service standards. This leader will help shape procurement strategy, build scalable processes, and create long-term value through strong vendor relationships and disciplined purchasing practices. WHAT YOU'LL OWNStrategic Sourcing & Procurement LeadershipDevelop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies that maximize company resources while supporting operational goals.Identify market trends, sourcing opportunities, and emerging supplier partnerships that create long-term value.Establish procurement standards that drive consistency, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.Purchasing OperationsOversee daily Purchasing, Shipping, and Receiving operations.Manage procurement activities for equipment, FF&E, inventory items, maintenance materials, housekeeping supplies, operational products, and special projects.Review and approve department requisitions to ensure appropriate justification, authorization, and budget alignment.Ensure all purchases are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Financial Stewardship & ComplianceMaintain accountability for purchasing budgets and procurement-related expenditures.Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure seamless integration of purchasing, invoicing, and payment processes.Develop procedures that support timely payment processing and accurate financial reporting.Monitor procurement performance and provide leadership with operational and financial reporting insights.Inventory & Project SupportCollaborate with Inventory Control to maintain accurate inventories of linens, housewares, and operational supplies.Support Engineering, Housekeeping, and Operations teams with project planning, estimating, and vendor pricing.Team Development & Cross-Functional PartnershipLead, develop, and coach purchasing team members while creating a culture of accountability and service.Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing-related standard operating procedures.Partner with departmental leaders to identify procurement opportunities and operational efficiencies.Serve as a trusted advisor to Leadership on purchasing strategy, vendor management, and cost-control initiatives.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.Five or more years of progressive purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management leadership experience.Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in a multi-department or multi-property environment.Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze purchasing trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Demonstrated success leading purchasing operations while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Experience working collaboratively with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and procurement-related technology platforms.Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced hospitality environment.NICE TO HAVEHospitality, resort, hotel, vacation rental, or multi-unit operational experience.Professional procurement certifications such as CPSM, CPPB, CSCP, or related credentials.Experience managing FF&E procurement for renovations, capital projects, or new developments.Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement analytics tools.Experience supporting rapid organizational growth or multi-property portfolios.WHY MARGARITAVILLE RESORT ORLANDOMargaritaville Resort Orlando and NDM Hospitality are built on a culture centered around:Mutual Success – We win together by supporting our owners, guests, and associates.Loyalty – We are committed to our people, our partners, and our communities.Work Ethic – We take pride in delivering exceptional results.Innovation – We continuously seek better ways to serve our guests and operate our business.Respect – Every associate matters and contributes to our success.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience, bonus eligibility, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits. NDM Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
